Payza Announces Support for Bitcoin Checkout

Leading online payment processor, Payza, announced today that merchants using Payza to process payments can now accept payment by Bitcoin. The new feature has automatically been enabled on all existing Payza payment buttons, with the exception of businesses in countries that restricy Bitcoin.

“We’re very excited to be launching Bitcoin checkout today.” said Firoz Patel, Executive VP of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Affairs. “We believe in the potential of cryptocurrencies. Offering services that revolve around Bitcoin and other digital currencies is a natural step that all online payment platforms will need to take. At Payza, we aren’t hesitating to take that step.”

Merchants who receive payment using this mechanism will still receive payment in the usual way, sing fiat currency. In the future Payza plans to give merchants the option to hold some or all of the bitcoins they receive rather than immediately sweep them into Fiat currency.
